Welcome To The Waukon Chamber of Commerce
We Hope You Enjoy Our Town!
The Waukon Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer association of businesses, industries, professionals and individuals working together to enhance the general business climate of the Waukon area.
The Waukon Chamber was officially incorporated in 1952. The greatest advantage of the Waukon Area is the organized leadership of its business community. The Waukon Chamber represents more than 100 businesses, individuals and organizations dedicated to promoting a healthy local economy and the highest quality of life in our area. Your membership with the Chamber, your involvement in community activities, your visions, your insights and your feedback are all vital links in the chain of our community success.
Our businesses face many challenges in light of technology, the global economy/the shrinking world and other factors. While the players and the playing field change, the business of the Waukon Chamber is about facing the challenges, framing them as opportunities, meeting them head on and having a plan. We cannot be complacent about marketing the Waukon area – we must be proactive.
Waukon is located in scenic Northeast Iowa, a community of 4,200 friendly people. We are the home of a growing business and service oriented community. Surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and a thriving agricultural landscape. Our business and service community includes an energetic downtown with many family-owned businesses and agricultural based enterprises serving the greater Waukon area.
Waukon is home to a variety of well kept churches of various denominations. You will find many civic organizations for all ages. As the county seat, the Allamakee County Courthouse is located in Waukon as well as the Allamakee County Fairgrounds.

2014 Waukon Corn Days
Waukon Corn Day's End of Summer Celebration
Waukon will launch this year’s “Waukon Corn Day’s End of Summer Celebration”. The 2014 event includes three days and nights of family fun, commencing on Friday, August 15th, through Sunday, August 17th. The trademark of this event is the Waukon Chamber’s Annual Corn Days Meal, but with the help and hard work of many local businesses this year’s celebration is going to be extra special!
Last year, hundreds of visitors and locals attended the Corn Day’s Meal. Once again, the Waukon Chamber will serve sweet corn and pork loin sandwiches. In addition to the meal, there will be a Corn Days Parade, the Crowning of Corn Days Junior Royalty, Veteran’s Memorial Hospital 5K Run/Walk, Kids Games, a Classic Car & Bike Show, Street Dance, a Fly-In Breakfast, Park-It Activities, a Penny Hunt, an Aquatic Center Pool Floaty Day, and much much more. The Waukon Chamber will be releasing a complete listing of events and additional information, for Corn Day’s, early July. Please keep your eyes open for any promotional materials.
The Town of Waukon is looking forward to officially ending the summer season in grand style and encourages visitors and residents alike to join us for the wonderful array of festivities at this year’s Corn Day’s Celebration.
