Lions Club hosts pancake breakfast Sept. 12

The Waukon Lions Club will host its first annual pancake breakfast Sunday, Sept. 12, from 7 a .m. to 1 p.m. at the Waukon Reception Center. 612 Rossville Rd., Waukon. 

Admission is a free-will donation and carry-outs are available.

Walk/run for colon cancer takes place Oct. 2

“Get Your Rear in Gear,” a 5K walk/run benefit for colon cancer is Saturday, Oct. 2.

The event will take place at St. Patrick’s School, 200 2nd St. SW, Waukon.
Registration begins at 7 a.m., with the run beginning at 9 a.m. and walk beginning at 9:05.

Pre-registration is $25 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under.
After Sept. 28, race day registration fees apply: $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under.

Registration forms are available at Northeast Iowa Realty, Waukon Greenhouse, Veterans Memorial Hospital or the Waukon Chamber of Commerce.
